Once again the frightening Medal day had arrived. I
always try to ignore the fact that it is a medal and so be able to play as any
normal day. No use. I started badly and ended just the same. Nothing worked
well. In any case it was a perfect day for golf. Wonderful temperature, no wind
at all and the course in a rather decent condition. The picture above shows my
playing partners today who with a combined age of 250 years are demonstrating
the secret of longevity and good golf, beer, coffee with brandy and Norman´s endless supply of sweets, biscuits and sandwiches!
We had some
very good results as given below. The top 3 places were very close but our
runner up Chris had a 10 on the 17th, even an 8 would have won, and
3rd placed Michael had a double bogey on the last leaving Richard
the winner after a gross level par back 9. Great scores from all 3 players and
Michael had the consolation of knocking Dennis off 1st place in the
consistency chart.
We had 3 guests and the winner with a good 34 points
off hcp 13 was Malcolm. Well done.
