Today we played another Individual Stableford
competition. We had 31 members and one
guest. The weather was pleasantly warm and the course was in good condition,
obviously benefitting from the recent downpour we had as part of a
thunderstorm. However, some of us struggled with our putting, the ball just didn’t want to sink into the
hole and frustratingly was lipping out or stopping on the edge of the hole.
This competition was also used for starting off our
knock-out matches. The results can be
seen on the chart at the right hand side of our website. All further matches
will have to be arranged between the players themselves and can be played at
mutual convenient times up to the given deadlines. The results today in the top half were very close. 7 players were competing for 5th place, all scoring 32 points, and John Rigby came out top of the bunch with 19 points on the back 9. It was good to see a”new face” among the winners. Well done Nick and, of course, to all the other winners.
Our guest prize was won by Marleen, Luc Verhaegen’s partner, with a good 31 points.
