This Wednesday, being the penultimate competition day
in the Captaincy year of Angel Centenera, there was a full house of 37 members
and 2 guests. We played Individual
Stableford which was also a qualifier for the Campbell Lamont Golf League. It was a chilly start with temperatures
struggling to reach double figures but we need not have worried as the warm
winter sun soon made us feel very comfortable.
We welcomed back John and Jan from their prolonged
stay in the UK. They were glad to get some golf in after their “rained out”
stay in England and they have not lost their touch with Jan
coming 4th with 32 points and John just one point behind.It was good to see Jean-Jacques on the winners’ board. Well done, JJ ! Off the golf course, he is a great help with our website. Also well done to Luc Verhaegen for another good score. He is on a roll and long may it last! Marleen, his wife will no doubt be very proud of him and we are sending our best wishes to her and hope she will get better soon!
Finally, many congratulations to Michael for another magnificent win. Surely, his is now well on the way to join our single figure handicap players. He is also the winner of the 2015 Consistency Chart which finished with todays’ competition.
We had two guests today and Francois had an excellent
score of 37 off a 7 handicap.
