2017: Individual Stableford (08.03.)

Some of today's happy winners

Today's Stableford competition attracted a field of 42 members and produced a number of outstanding results. It was a beautiful sunny day and our raspberry shirts were on full show for the first time this year. We hope our usual warm Spanish weather has at last returned to stay. Certainly the good weather brought out the best in our society members with just over half scoring 30 points or more and the top two players scoring 43 points each. Clearly the final position of these two players had to be decided on countback with Guy Letort losing out to Brian Hines on the back nine. Well played both of you. What great scoring. David Payne has been close to bringing his handicap down for several weeks and so he was delighted with his 3rd place and 39 points. The 4th and 5th positions of John Garnett and Nino Andres also had to be decided on countback as they both came in with 37 points.  Prize giving was a very pleasant occasion held in the sun on the outside terrace.
