"Stormin' Norman" as he was affectionately known enjoyed life to the full. Golf to him was more than just a game. It was a celebration of the good life and those of us who had the pleasure of playing with him will fondly remember the "goodies" he shared with us as we were going round the course, always the same ritual: wine gums (only one black one) on the 4th, coffee and brandy, pork pies and a choice of chocolate biscuits followed by a cigar on the 11th and finally a beer on the 18th hole.
He will be remembered as a kind, generous and charming man and will be sorely missed by all of us at the Costa Blanca Golf Society.
Our thoughts are with his wife Janet and family in these difficult times and we would like to extend our most sincere condolences.
